Pure Lactation was founded by Brenna Kleinsteuber, MBA, IBCLC
Brenna is a Denver-based IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, who provides in-home and virtual consultations to families, both expecting and with new babies.
Brenna is a member of the
Colorado Breastfeeding Coalition,
International Lactation Consultant
Association, and the United States
Lactation Consultant Association.
Brenna received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from New York University. She attended the Breastfeeding Consultant Pathway 2 program at University of California San Diego before passing the IBLCE (International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners) exam to become an IBCLC. Brenna lives in the Denver area with her husband Bruce and their 3 children (along with their furry rescued family members, 2 dogs and 2 cats).
Brenna’s passion for breastfeeding began after her first baby was born at 35 weeks. Brenna was determined to breastfeed her daughter but was not prepared for the complications associated with feeding her late pre-term daughter. When they brought her home after a week-long NICU stay, Brenna sought out the help of an IBCLC. To this day, Brenna believes that one consultation saved her breastfeeding relationship and was one of the best decisions she ever made.
